The classic food of North African countries (such as Tunisia, Libya, and Algeria) is made from cornmeal or wheat flour and rubbed into fine grains steamed in special pots called "couscous pots." Varieties include sweet and savory couscous.
They also contain a variety of recipes and ingredients, including those prepared with meat, vegetables, or birds, as well as nuts or dried fruits. ingredients
Half a kilo of medium-grain couscous
Frozen Green Beans 500g
To prepare couscous, add 1 teaspoon of salt.
1 teaspoon fine sugar
125 ml of water
150 grams of ghee.
3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
how to prepare
We cook the green beans in a water bath, which entails placing the beans in a small saucepan and placing them over a saucepan filled with water over a high heat, covering them, stirring them from time to time, and letting them steam until they are cooked.
Drain the couscous after washing it with water.
In a mixing bowl, combine salt, olive oil, and couscous.
Cover and leave the couscous in the couscous dish over another pot of boiling water until the steam rises.
Remove the bowl of couscous from the saucepan and pour it into a deep, shallow bowl and rub with your hand.
Return the couscous to the pot, cover the pot and let it cook for another ten minutes, or until the couscous is tender.
Lift the bowl and place it in a large mixing bowl, pour in the water and stir gently.
Cover the bowl with a towel and set aside for five minutes.
We return the couscous for the last time, cover and leave until fully cooked.
The pot is removed from the fire.
Put the couscous in a serving dish, add the ghee and sugar, and stir well.
Add green beans and stir well again.
Moroccan couscous with green beans is now ready to serve.
